Calvary Baptist is a part of the Red Fork Association.Our Director of Missions for the Association is Dr. Derrell Monday.The Bi-Fork Area, consisting of both the Red Fork and Salt Fork Associations, has adopted the Mbalantu of Namibia Africa. With the ultimate goal of planting a church (or churches) among the Mbalantu, the churches of the two associations are faithfully praying for God"s work to be accomplished, finding ways to give sacrificially to the work, and sending teams to do ministry at least four times a year. He previously served for three years as the pastor of RockCrossing Baptist Church. Toby's passion is to pray, to study, and then to preach God's truth - understanding the urgency of our day. His goal is to lead God's people in a discipleship-driven, evangelistic fervor that changes our world.Bro. Toby attended Texas Tech University, earning a B.S. in Ag. Economics in 1995. He completed 21 graduate hours at Logsdon Seminary at Hardin Simmons University, and has completed the Masters of Christian Ministry degree at Wayland Baptist University. Bro. Toby enjoys spending time with his family, working outdoors, running track, and reading. Toby and his wife, Carrie, have three children: Sarah Jo (9), Kell (5), and Will (3). YOUTH PASTORRIC ROSALEZEmail: youth@cbcvernon.orgBIOGRAPHY: MUSIC MINISTERNATHAN MORRISEmail: music@cbcvernon.orgBIOGRAPHY: Nathan and his wife, Ashley, came to Calvary the first week of January, 2011. They came to us from Fort Worth, TX, where Nathan was the Minister of Music and Youth at Clearfork Baptist Church in Weatherford. Nathan studied music for 3 years at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, and he is now working toward a degree in communications. Nathan is also the YAC (Young Adult & College) teacher. He has been in ministry work since he was 17 years old. In 2002, Nathan and a close friend started a wrestling ministry called ECW (Extreme Christian Wrestling). There were over 40 people involved in ECW, and they witnessed over 200 salvations during their ministry. Nathan also served as youth intern at First Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA. He has been leading music in churches for the last six years, and has a great passion for leading people in worship to experience God.Nathan and Ashley welcomed their son, Noah to their family in October of 2011. In their spare time, Nathan and Ashley enjoy spending time with their 2 dogs. Tank is a 130 lb. Bull-Mastiff, and Barricade is a 60 lb. Boxer. Nathan loves the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers. He also loves music, reading, and spending time with the YAC. Nathan's favorite scripture is Psalm 46:10: "Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." CHILDREN'S COORDINATORBRENNA MCLENNANEmail: children@cbcvernon.orgBIOGRAPHY: Brenna has been the Children’s Coordinator at Calvary since July of 2010. She is excited to see what God is doing in the Children’s department and feels blessed to be on staff with men and women who love the Lord. Brenna and her husband, Tanner, both grew up at CBC, and they are thrilled to now be raising their family in the same church. They have been married since August of 2004 and have three daughters, Maddie (3) Amy (2), and Maebree. Brenna and Tanner are teachers in the 6th grade Sunday school class. Tanner attended the University of Texas at Austin and is a farmer in Hardeman County. Brenna attended Texas State University at San Marcos and Midwestern State University. She taught 2nd grade at Central Elementary in Vernon before getting the opportunity to stay home with their children. In her free time, Brenna enjoys spending time with her family and friends and reading. SECRETARYSANDRA HALLEmail: secretary@cbcvernon.orgBIOGRAPHY: Sandra was raised in Vernon, and she graduated from VHS. She then moved away from Vernon for 16 years, but returned to her hometown in 2006. The year of 2006 brought many changes in her life, leading her to walk closer to her Lord. Her FAITH grows stronger and deeper each and every day, as she wakes up to glorious mornings with her families. Sandra has two children, Brittani and Brady, and is a proud Nana to her precious grandsons, Carson (9), and Kaden (5). Sandra has been a volunteer at the Vernon Pregnancy Help Center for the past 7 years, ministering to expectant mothers. Becoming a grandmother and being a volunteer at the PHC are leading her to seek a closer walk with the Lord and strengthening her faith in Godly love. FINANCE JOY GRANTEmail: finsec@cbcvernon.orgBIOGRAPHY: Joy and her family moved to Vernon in July 2008. She and her husband, Mitch, have two sons. Spencer is 12, and Jordan (22) lives in Enid, OK with his wife, Haylee, and their two children, Marley and Isaac. Together, he and his wife, Marilyn have 7 children (Jeremy, Ben, Kevin, Chris, Courtney, Cody, and Chris). They are the proud grandparents of 8 grandchildren (Lyndsie, Mark, Heath, Hanna, Carly, Callie, and Jorden). Doug worked in lawn care for almost 30 years while living in Indian and Ohio, and at the power plant when he first moved to Vernon. He and his wife have been teaching the 3rd grade Sunday school class for 5 years, and have also loved helping with the sound during the worship services for the past 3 years. Doug and Marilyn feel that God has blessed them more than they could have ever imagined, despite their mistakes. They love serving at Calvary Baptist Church, calling it their home.
